The Renault 5 Cabriolet is the Paris company's answer to the need to have a low-cost compact convertible in the range that could compete with the Peugeot 205 Cabriolet. The Renault 5 Cabriolet was built by the Belgian company EBS which, once it got the go-ahead from the French house, produced around 1400 units.
