Please note: we have brought the car to the Padova Auto e Moto D'Epoca fair, and will be visibile from October 20th to October 23rd; please get in touch with us if you want to know more.
We are pleased to offer at auction a mint 1991 Porsche 911 (964) Turbo. The car, imported directly from the manufacturer in 1991 by the Italian Porsche subsidiary (as it was usual back then) has been owned since then by a single family, that still owns it to this day. The owner has kept it in pristine conditions having used it for only 44,000 km.
As one of the first 964 Turbos ever produced, this car features the 3.3L flat-six turbocharged engine delivering 320 HP. With a production run of only 3,660 units, this is one of the best kept 964 Turbos available on the market today.
This 964 Turbo is finished in Indischrot (L80K) paint over black leather interiors; as visible from the pictures, both the body and the interiors are in perfect conditions.
The second iteration of the turbocharged 911, the 964 Turbo was introduced in 1990, only a year after the first 964s came out of the factory; because of the very limited time it had, Porsche first decided to improve the engine of the 930 rather than developing a turbocharged version of the 964 engine: in fact, the 964 Turbo has reduced the infamous turbo-lag of its predecessor, and power is now up at 320 HP at only 5,750 rpm, while peak torque of 450 N⋅m is achieved at 4,500 rpm.
Esthetically, the 964 Turbo keeps the same recipe of the 930, adapting the regular 964 body with the typical Turbo styling cues: larger wheel arches to fit the bigger tires, new alloy wheels specific for the Turbo models and the over-the-top rear wing, which also has the function of fitting the large intercooler.
Being one of the most expensive Porsche model of its time, this 964 Turbo has a few extra equpiment such as the electrically-adjustable sport seats, heated front seats, a sunroof and a tinted sunstrip on the windshield.
This 964 Turbo has been very carefully kept and maintained by its owners, all belonging to the same family, and the car has its full service book available with details of all the maintenance performed on it by workshops specialized on Porsches.
The car has passed with no issue the Italian mandatory inspection in March 2022.
To honor its perfect conditions and rarity, the car has been awarded a Targa Oro by the ASI (Italian historic cars association).
